Assistant Restaurant Manager

Position Summary:
The Assistant Manager at Puckett’s – BNA supports the Restaurant Manager in executing daily operations, delivering authentic Southern hospitality, and maintaining brand and airport standards in a fast-paced airport environment. This role is hands-on and floor-focused, helping lead the team, ensure service excellence, and maintain operational consistency during all shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Support:
  • Support the Restaurant Manager in leading daily operations and shift execution.
  • Lead by example with a hospitality-first, service-driven mindset.
  • Assist with coaching, training, and motivating team members.
  • Reinforce accountability, professionalism, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Lead pre-shift huddles as needed to align the team on service and execution.

Guest Experience:
  • Deliver warm, genuine hospitality to all guests.
  • Actively engage with guests and resolve concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Support speed of service and consistency during peak travel periods.
  • Uphold Pucketts brand standards for service and guest interaction.

Operations & Execution:
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures.
  • Monitor service flow, staffing coverage, and floor execution.
  • Ensure food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards are consistently met.
  • Maintain food quality, presentation, and portion standards.
  • Support airport-specific operational requirements, including badging and security compliance.

Financial & Performance Support:
  • Assist with labor management and shift scheduling as directed.
  • Monitor waste, portion control, and proper product handling.
  • Support daily sales execution, upselling, and team engagement initiatives.
  • Communicate operational issues or opportunities to the Restaurant Manager.

Training & Compliance:
  • Assist with onboarding and training new team members using AHA and SLA standards.
  • Ensure employees follow company policies, airport authority rules, and TSA guidelines.
  • Help maintain accurate documentation for audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
  • Promote a safe, organized, and compliant work environment.

Qualifications:
  • 13 years of restaurant supervisory or leadership experience (airport or high-volume preferred).
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Working knowledge of POS systems and basic operational repoarting.
  • Flexible availability, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to pass airport background check and obtain required security badge.
